Qualifying Day 1 ended
Qualifying players have been busy practicing from 8 am, especially the talented young Hungarians who started today's program on Center Court where Agnes Szavay also had a practice session in the morning.

The program started with Hungarian national junior player, Blanka Szavay vs another Hungarian Yvett Imre and the battle of the two wild card players ended with Blanka's 62 61 victory. The 15 years old girl earned her first WTA points with the triumph and the possibility to show her talent against the 1st seeded Timea Bacsinszky in the 2nd round.

Meanwhile Serbian Natasa Zoric defeated Hungarian wild card player Csilla Argyelan (64 61) and Veronika Chvojkova from the Czech Republic won her match against Ukrainian Veronika Kapshay (62 60).

When the second match on center court started with 2005 semifinalist Aniko Kapros and 5th seeded Romanian Irina Begu, another Romanian, junior world ranking Nr3 Ana Bogdan also began to play against Margalita Chakhnashvili from Georgia.

Aniko were finally defeated after a long battle and they were followed by two talented Hungarians, Reka Jani and Vaszilisza Bulgakova, ending with a 62 62 victory for 18 years old Reka who won her first Tour match.

Ana Bogdan retired in the second set, just like Alina Jidkova from Russia against Canadian Sharon Fichman and on the last match of the day, Eleni Daniilidou (semi finalist in 2002) defetaed Slovakian Nikola Vajdova 75 62.
